Chalk It UP!

This past summer I stepped out of my comfort zone. I entered a sidewalk drawing event. I usually just draw with chalk in my driveway. This was the first time our city had this event so I joined. It was great to meet other people in my community and spend an afternoon with my girls. My sister even came out to support me. I was that nervous to do this and she knew it and wanted to come to see me draw.

As you get older its easier to just not try new things to open yourself up to judgement.

This really started my summer off on the right foot. Time with my girls and sister in my small town of New Baltimore, MI.

My goal is to find more events of this nature and join. You get in your daily route of mom, wife, working fulltime... and I lost some of my passion for art. This revived it.
